A nighttime phenomenon: Northern Lights visible Tuesday night across parts of North Carolina

On Tuesday, WRAL News received multiple reports of the aurora borealis visible in parts of North Carolina. Meteorologist Chris Michaels said it is due to a pair of coronal mass ejections heading toward Earth, producing the aurora farther south.
