The Gastonia Police Department has located a missing 3-year-old girl who was kidnapped from an apartment Sunday morning.
Police said Destiny Boykins was taken from an apartment located at 2079 E. Hudson Boulevard in Gastonia by 57-year-old Maurice Knox.

According to WCNC, Knox, 57, was arrested by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department after a traffic crash Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Remount Road and Toomey Avenue.
The crash sent four people to the hospital, WCNC reported, including one patient with life-threatening injuries.
Destiny Boykins was not injured in the crash and is being reunited with family. The pair were in a brown 2015 Nissan Altima with N.C. license tag number DBL-04139.
Police have not said what charges Knox will face or if he was injured in the crash.
