Professional Experience:
From riots, to hurricanes, local education issues and Covid-19, I feel like I’ve covered just about everything here in North Carolina. Prior to my time at WRAL as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor, I served as the lead breaking news reporter and morning show anchor at WISC in Madison, Wis.

Hobbies, Interests & Community Involvement:
I love interior decorating, being outside – whether that means hiking or boating – and spending as much time with my friends and family as I can. I also make a point of mentoring young journalists. It always excites me to see young people who want to make a difference through reporting.
Family:
I have a younger sister, Megan; My parents, Dave and Tina. My parents are in snowy Chicago and Megan is in sunny Arizona!

The people! Everyone is so friendly and always up for a conversation. The natural beauty of this state is a very close second.
Most Memorable Assignments:
The unrest in downtown Raleigh in light of the death of George Floyd, where I was tear-gassed on live TV.
