Judge: Former Raleigh restaurant manager must register as a sex offeder
with respect to requests that he required to register as
a sex offender
The court has considered the evidence offered the statements offer
and the I will tell you the two things
that have given me the greatest concern or the fact
that he has when it appears one of the primary
reasons for the behavior for which he pled guilty dealt
with his low self esteem and self worth
While he has been in counseling for three years he
is barely scratched the surface
In addressing that issue the court is not confident that
in another five years that will be addressed or what
will happen after the five years is lapses
More importantly when his own expert tells me that she
would not want to be supervised by him that he
should not supervise women I'm being told that he should
not supervised 51.9% of the workforce in this state
The only reason I can conclude that that was recommended
was because his own expert felt that he was a
danger
T to say you cannot supervise women and she wouldn't
want to be supervised by ham means that she would
not trust him to be in a power of authority
over him over her
and that directly goes back to his own experts
Reasons why she believed he committed the offenses was because
he wanted to feel like he had control
For those reasons and all the evidence that was offered
the court finds that he is a danger to the
public is going to require him to register on the
sex offender registry for a period of 30 years
He can petition the court in 10 years uh to
be removed from that registry
All cost of the action will be taxed against him
Given the fact that he has a child
To the extent that he is in successful compliance with
the terms of his probation I'm gonna remit probation supervision
fees anything further from the state or the defense
For the record I would just note are objection to
the findings and the ruling with regard to the sex
offender registry
Your objection way would also ask specifically did subject any
court orders

I'm not preventing him from having any contact with his
own Children
And I'm not preventing him
I forget what the sex offender registry requirements are with
respect to Children
I think I have to specifically restrict is have to
find that there was a victim child which were There
are no restrictions on him with respect to being in
the presence of miners
Because that's not the nature of this event
