A man was killed overnight after a shooting in Raleigh near Midtown.
The Raleigh Police Department found a man dead with a gunshot wound when they responded to Hodges Street around 5 a.m. on Saturday. The shooting was near the intersection with Paula Street.

Another man was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Officials say this appeared to be an isolated incident and there did not appear to be danger to the public.
Officers and detectives were on the scene determining the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The incident took place near a double shooting that happened nearby on Wake Forest Road several weeks ago.
