Born and raised in Rockville, MD about 30 min. outside of D.C.
Hobbies, interests, community involvement:
I grew up dancing so I love taking barre classes. I’ve just picked up golfing, and I spend a lot of free time going on hikes or exploring new breweries. I also taught myself how to play ukulele off of the internet!
In Charlottesville, I partnered with the American Red Cross to recognize regional heroes who made an incredible impact on their communities. During my time in Maryland, I worked with students with disabilities and I’ve fundraised for the Special Olympics.
Family:
I have two wonderful parents who still live in the D.C. area and an older sister named Casey who is my role model in every way.
Favorite books, movies, videogames, podcasts:
My favorite books are The Alchemist, Sapiens and The Righteous Mind. The movie that tops the list is Good Will Hunting. Just behind it: Shawshank Redemption and anything Pixar.
Likes best about North Carolina:
The beautiful trees and fresh air! And Cheerwine 😛
Most memorable assignments:
I went several hours out at sea on a boat to get a glimpse of a new wind turbine project and got very sea sick!
