The owner of Nick’s Motorsports is facing several city violations after his dog allegedly attacked and injured a delivery man last week, according to Rocky Mount police.
On July 26, around 1:10 pm, police called Animal Control to report an animal biting incident. When Animal Control arrived, they found a man who had received multiple injuries to his face from a reported dog attack.

The victim said he was attacked by the dog on July 25 at 830 S. Wesleyan Blvd around 9:40 a.m. while making a delivery to the back of Nick's Motorsports at 1025 West Mount Drive.
He went to get medical attention and was later released.
On Tuesday, 27-year-old Nick Vester, the owner of Nick's Motorsports, was charged with the following city violations:
- 4-15 animal bite
- 4-22 nuisance
- 4-25 running at large
- 4-6 concealment
- 4-37 guard dog
- GS130A-196 confinement
At this time, the dog remains in Vester's possession.
Additional charges may be brought against him as the investigation continues.
