It's been nearly a year since the war in Gaza, and tensions remain high in the Middle East.
Recent Israeli attacks on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon have reignited calls for peace.

In Raleigh, traffic ground to a halt as Pro-Palestine protesters filled the streets, voicing their demands for a ceasefire.
Carrying signs and chanting, the demonstrators called for an end to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
The protesters called on the Israeli government to end its military actions and bring the conflict between Israel and Hamas to a close.
"We have been fighting every week, almost every week in the streets for one year, and it's imperative that we continue to do that. And even though we've felt burnout, exhaustion, grief, and denial, we are still showing up no matter what," Pro Palestine Protestors said. "No matter if it's five people or 500 people, we will be in the streets."
"I want to hear there's a deal on the table," another protester said.
Avia Sigel also longs for an end to the conflict. She and her husband, Keith, a North Carolina native, were kidnapped by Hamas.
While Avia has been released, Keith remains a hostage.
She believes a ceasefire is the only path to bringing him and the other hostages home.
"There are still 101 hostages in Gaza, and they need to come back. That's what I'm hoping for," Avia said. "Hamas took us from our home in a brutal way, without even allowing us to grab pajamas."
As the conflict continues, both Sigel and the pro-Palestine protesters share the same goal: to see the war come to an end.
The protesters have planned a statewide march on October 5th, continuing their call for peace and the end of the conflict.
