Hurricanes' captain Jordan Staal: 'We love playing in this building'

As the Carolina Hurricanes wait for their Eastern Conference Final opponent, Canes center Jordan Staal spoke with reporters about how important home ice is in Lenovo Center.

Nice to do that you know in the middle of

a grind you know like this

Second big break in a row is there anything that

you guys were happy with with how you prepared last

time that you're taking into this weight here Obviously we're

happy with how it went last time so we're probably

going to try to do kind of similar things and

and stay consistent with that and um you know it's

it's just um it's just really being kind of being

a pro and making sure that your body's right and

healing those bumps and bruises and

And uh and just being sharp for that game Jordan

is this the most cohesive group you've ever played with

whenever we have

I mean it looks cohesive out there the way we're

playing on the ice I would say and and off

the ice I'm having a blast

So um it's been it's so much fun to come

to work this year with this group and cohesive is

is one word for it for sure and uh I

feel like it's more of a

Family but uh it's been uh it's just been a

lot of fun

The fans have been unreal

Any message you want to deliver to them as you

get ready for the next round Just keep it going

Uh we love playing in this building

Uh our fans are the best in the in the

league by far and it's uh it's just so much

fun um when they get going and uh and we

we need it

We we need to feed off of that and uh

it helps us uh get debuts here in this building
