The inspiration for The Boop Pillow emerged shortly after Kadie gave birth to their first child.
As a new mom adjusting to postpartum changes and breastfeeding, Kadie experienced persistent discomfort in her chest, shoulders, and breasts during sleep.
“I was tossing and turning all night,” Kadie said. “It felt like I was rolling my shoulders over, squishing my breasts. I just couldn’t get comfortable.”
This discomfort led the couple to experiment with makeshift solutions, such as rolled-up towels and old foam pillows to improve her sleep quality.
Through conversations with other women, Kadie and Patrique found out that this struggle wasn’t unique. Many women, postpartum and beyond, shared similar experiences of discomfort during sleep, highlighting the need for better breast and shoulder support.
From idea to innovation
Years of prototyping and testing led to the creation of The Boop Pillow. “One morning, after another restless night, we realized we had been shaping an old pillow into something that could actually be a product,” Kadie said. “That’s when the idea for The Boop Pillow really took off.”
