The winners have been announced for the tenth-annual WRAL Voters' Choice Awards. The awards celebrate the best local businesses across the Triangle.
Big winners this year included The Redneck BBQ Lab, which received the award for best barbecue and best customer service. The Angus Barn won multiple awards including bet wine selection, fine dining and steak.

Maggie Kane, founder of A Place at the Table, was named the Business Leader of the Year.
A Place at the Table, located at 300 W. Hargett St., opened in January 2018. The cafe has a laid-back coffee shop atmosphere with a menu that includes buttermilk biscuits with sage sausage gravy and an assortment of sandwiches and waffles. All food and beverages are pay-what-you-can.
Phillip Lin from Catering by Design has been named the Boss of the Year, and his business was named best caterer and employer of the year. Lin was also a second place winner for social influencer for his account, One Bad Asian.
Each year, there are more than 100,000 nominations and votes submitted to shine a spotlight on local favorites. There is no cost for businesses to be nominated, voted on or win awards. Nominations were accepted in September through early October last year. The top five finalists in each category were on the final ballots, which were also voted on by the public.
