Ed Sheeran's Gillette Stadium concerts canceled due to nor'easter, tour promoter says

WASHINGTON — Ed Sheeran will not perform this weekend at Gillette Stadium after all.

Sheeran's tour promoter announced Friday that his New England shows would be canceled because of the nor'easter.

The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter was set to hit the stage Friday, Sept. 25, and Saturday, Sept. 26.

"Due to the severe weather warnings in place in Boston and across New England throughout the weekend and following consultation with local officials, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Ed Sheeran concerts at Gillette Stadium," tour promoter Messina Touring said in a statement.
