A Texas immigration facility is on lockdown and “all movement” has stopped after two cases of Measles were reported.
On Sunday, the Department of Homeland Security confirmed two detainees being held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center in South Texas were diagnosed with Measles.

DHS said they were immediately quarantined to prevent further spread of the highly contagious disease. Nearly a week ago, DHS reported a person being held at an Arizona Immigration facility also had Measles.
Last year, there were more than 2,200 cases of Measles reported. This surge is the highest number of cases reported since 2000, when the disease was declared eliminated in the United States.
In 2025, Texas had more than 700 Measles cases, and two children died during the major outbreak.
