More Wake schools will close March 3, after school board vote

School had already been canceled on March 3 for most schools, but hadn't been for some year-round schools.

The school board voted Tuesday to include those year-round schools.

The change is designed to keep students out of school while so many schools serve as polling sites.

The school board has moved to cancel school on election days several times in recent years after a group of parents petitioned for it, citing security concerns.
