"I was also told that several cars in that lot had been broken into, and it all happened just like within a few minutes," said Sandi Wilson, whose car was broken into in Cary.
Wilson said there was nothing in her car to take, but her window was broken and someone had gone through the car's center console and glove box. Still, she will be footing the bill for a new window.
"My husband and I have lived in Cary for over 35 years. We raised our family here, and we always felt safe here," said Wilson. "To choose a busy parking lot in broad daylight with security camera surveillance, people coming and going. I mean, it's pretty desperate."
Cary Police said they are actively investigating the break-ins. Morrisville Police said the same. The two agencies have not commented on whether the two incidents were connected.
