Moore County deputies and State Bureau of Investigation agents arrested an Aberdeen man on child sexual exploitation charges.
Wayne Sands Sr., 61, is charged with five counts of felony second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and five counts of felony third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

On Thursday, authorities executed a search warrant at a home on Sand Pit Road in Aberdeen, where specialists found illegal files involving children.
Authorities began the investigation after the Moore County Sheriff’s Office received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Authorities took Sands to the Moore County Detention Center. He had a $125,000 secured bond.
Sands has a court date scheduled for Oct. 8.
The Moore County Sheriff’s Office said more charges are expected.
The investigation is ongoing.
