Aberdeen police announced the arrest of a man accused of having inappropriate and explicit communication with a child.
Charles Owens, 27, of Hertford, is charged with abduction of a child, indecent liberties with a child, soliciting a child by a computer and first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

Perquimans County deputies arrested Owens on Wednesday, according to the Aberdeen Police Department.
Authorities turned Owens over to the custody of Aberdeen investigators and took him to the Moore County Jail where he received no bond for his charges.
On Jan. 26, Aberdeen investigators received a report of a missing child. Investigators later identified Owens as a person of interest.
Several law enforcement agencies executed multiple search warrants and charged Owens.
