What should have been a normal trip through the drive-thru at the McDonald's on Harrison Avenue in Cary turned into a call to the NC Snake Catcher.
Around 2 p.m. Saturday, Talena Chavis, owner of NC Snake Catcher, was contacted to come to the McDonald's and retrieve a 4-foot boa constrictor found outside the restaurant under the drive-thru window.

When Chavis arrived, a brave couple had already put the snake in a box. The couple was at the restaurant and the ones who contacted Chavis.
Chavis said the snake, a boa constrictor imperator, can reach 8 feet in length. And she thinks the snake may have gotten loose from a vendor at a reptile show in the area that stopped at the McDonald’s for a bite to eat.
Chavis has searched for the owner with no luck, but says the McDonald's boa constrictor could have a new place to call home by Tuesday.
On Monday, WRAL News reached out to McDonald's with a request for comment. We've yet to hear back.
