A man was arrested and four more are still on the run Tuesday after a robbery days earlier in Granville County.
According to Butner Public Safety officers, they responded to an armed robbery on Sunday at a business on 1555 NC Highway 56 in Creedmoor. When they arrived, officers learned two masked men went inside, robbed the business at gunpoint and tied up two employees inside.

It is unclear how much money the men took.
Butner authorities said officers gave a description of the vehicle used in the robbery and its license plate to authorities in the surrounding counties. Later, a Durham County deputy spotted the vehicle traveling south on Interstate 95 and pulled it over. Authorities later arrested the driver, 55-year-old Christopher Stewart of Raleigh, and charged him with conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Stewart was also served three arrest warrants out of Wake, Randolph and Davidson counties.
Authorities said they are also searching for four men involved the robbery and charged with the following:
- Jequan Deandre Currie, 32, wanted for conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
- Corey Albright, 45, wanted for conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
- Demonte Raekwon Fuller, 29, wanted for robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of first-degree kidnapping.
- Charles Lewis Compton, 49, wanted for robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon and two counts of first-degree kidnapping.
