Carolina Hurricanes players celebrated the team's Stanley Cup victory with fans in Glenwood South Monday night.

Jordan Martinook, one of the first acquisitions by the team after hiring Rod Brind'Amour as head coach, told fans on X that he was planning to be at Teets, a Raleigh bar in the Glenwood South district, to celebrate the Canes' first Stanley Cup in 20 years.

The bar is co-owned by Bates Battaglia, a former NHL player who played for the Carolina Hurricanes in 2002.

The line to get into the bar Monday night was at least two blocks long. Around 10:30 p.m., the Stanley Cup and the rest of the Carolina Hurricanes arrived at the bar. The players were greeted with cheers and applause as they walked into the bar.

The players took turns standing on top of tables outside of the bar and hoisting the Stanley Cup into the air.

Fans gathered around the players, took photos with the cup and drank from it, kicking off a celebration 20 years in the making in Raleigh.

Raleigh police officers were at the scene to monitor the large crowd.

Other fans flooded the streets outside the bar, cheering and jumping up and down. Videos shared on social media show revelers celebrating with drivers as they passed by and others climbing up structures, like traffic signs. It was a sea of red, and the high-energy celebration stretched beyond midnight.

The celebration came hours after the Carolina Hurricanes returned to Raleigh after winning the Stanley Cup on Sunday night. Sky 5 was at Raleigh-Durham International Airport as fans waited for the team to touch down with the trophy.

Fans began lining up outside the terminal as they waited for the Canes' chartered flight to return, and others lined the road as a bus carried the team from the airport.

Another large-scale celebration for the Canes is planned Saturday, June 20, at 11 a.m.

Raleigh Mayor Janet Cowell told WRAL News a parade will begin at 11 a.m. in downtown Raleigh. Details on the route are still being finalized. Several downtown area roads will be closed during the celebration.

Cowell declared Saturday "Carolina Hurricanes Day" in honor of the Canes' run to the second Stanley Cup in franchise history.
