Capital Boulevard was blocked between New Hope Church and Old Buffaloe roads going southbound toward downtown due to a crash Saturday morning. As of 10:30 a.m., the road has reopened.
According to Raleigh police, a woman was hit by an 18-wheeler truck Saturday morning on Capital Boulevard near the Circle K gas station. She was taken to WakeMed with serious injuries. Police said they could not provide any additional information about her condition.
