A fisherman's discovery helped authorities pull a car from Jordan Lake in Chatham County on Friday.
The submerged vehicle, an early 2000s Nissan Maxima, was found under the U.S. Highway 64 bridge, a spot where the lake was about 30 feet deep. No one was inside the vehicle.

It's a popular part of the lake to fish and a fisherman spotted the car on sonar earlier this week.
Chatham County deputies initially responded to the scene Tuesday, but found no signs of a recent crash and received no reports of missing motorists in the area.
On Friday, deputies returned with help from a Durham County Sheriff's Office dive team.
“This isn’t something we see every day, especially in such a popular fishing spot,” said Chatham County Sheriff Mike Roberson. “We’re grateful to the Durham County Sheriff’s Office for their dive support and to Barnes Towing for helping bring the car safely to shore.”
Investigators will look through the car for clues about how long it's been in the lake and whether it's connected to other incidents.
