Fire crews were at the scene of a reported brush fire along NC-540 near Cary on Friday.
Several firetrucks were parked along the highway near Green Level Road around 5:45 p.m., closing several southbound lanes.

Small flames were seen in the woods well off the road. Firefighters were working to get back to the fire.
Fire officials said a previous fire occurred at the same location in October.
There is no word on possible injuries. WRAL News is working to learn more.
