Cary homeowner displaced after early morning basement fire

A person is out of their home after a house fire in a Cary neighborhood early Thursday morning.

Shortly after 2:30 a.m., the Cary Fire Department responded to a fire in the 200 block of Shotts Court. Firefighters arrived to find the fire was mostly contained in the basement. 

The homeowner was home at the time and is unfortunately displaced from their home, due to the nature of the fire's damage. Fortunately, they were not hurt. There were no other reported injuries. 

Cary fire said there is no additional information about the cause of their fire. But officials have started the investigation into the fire. They did not provide any more information.
