A man from Cary has been arrested on multiple felony charges of possessing and trafficking Schedule I substances and over 100 pounds of marijuana.
On April 16, 2025, Apex Police Department received a tip from a Public Storage that said 49-year-old Davis Hall was possibly storing marijuana in his storage unit.

The tip said Hall went to the unit alone multiple times a week for a short period of time. The unit was reported to have a “very strong odor of marijuana” coming from inside.
Because of the tip, Apex Police, along with the help of Cary Police and Holly Springs Police, conducted a series of K-9 sniff procedures in order to execute a search warrant.
On Wednesday, May 28, the search warrant was issued and officers were able to enter the unit.
Inside, they found 104.8 pounds of marijuana, less than one gram of MDMA, one suspected LSD pill and drug paraphernalia.
Mail and photographs inside the unit confirmed Hall’s likeness and his Cary address.
Hall was arrested the following evening after officers conducted the search.
He is charged with one felony count each of trafficking in marijuana, trafficking in LSD, trafficking in MDMA, possession of a Schedule I drug and possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule 1 drug.
He is being held under a $750,000 bond.
