A crash on Interstate 40 West in Cary caused a major slowdown Thursday near Cary Towne Boulevard.
The crash was reported around 6:15 a.m. at Exit 291 for Cary Towne Boulevard.

Traffic cameras showed emergency crews in the shoulder and two right lanes closed with traffic getting around the crash slowly. All lanes reopened by 7:30 a.m.
