The Durham County District Attorney’s Office has dropped a cyberstalking charge against a social media influencer with a large following on TikTok and Instagram, court records show.

In March, a judge ruled Kennard must pay $40,000 while the appeal process continues in a lawsuit where she was accused of having an affair with her manager, Tim Montague.
In November, a lawsuit filed in Durham County Court accused Kennard of seducing and having an affair with her manager Tim Montague, a Durham man. The suit was brought in civil court by the manager’s now ex-wife, Akira Montague.
Akira Montague claimed, among other things the affair caused her mental anguish, damage to her health, and deprived her kids of a two-parent household.
Kennard has nearly 3 million followers on TikTok and 274,000 followers on Instagram and usually posts content around cooking, makeup and trying food.
