A Willow Springs man died after state troopers said he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into several trees.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol on Wednesday, 33-year-old Nathan Hudson was driving east down Jackson King Road near Dupree Road outside Angier around midnight.

Troopers said the vehicle was moving at a high rate of speed and lost control on a curve. They said the vehicle went off the road, hit a mailbox and several trees before stopping in the wood line.
Troopers said the vehicle was "split into two pieces" when they arrived.
The highway patrol believes speed was a factor in the crash and is investigating the circumstances behind it.
