A Delta flight en route to New York’s JFK International Airport was diverted to Raleigh-Durham International Airport Monday night for an in-flight issue.
The flight from Jacksonville, Florida landed at RDU after an odor was detected onboard.

There were 108 customers and five crew members on the flight. All customers deplaned normally at the gate in Raleigh.
Delta released the following statement:
"After fumes were detected in the cabin, the crew of Delta Flight 1035 followed established procedures, and the flight was diverted to Raleigh-Durham International Airport, where it landed safely. Nothing is more important than the safety of our customers and people, and we apologize for the delay to our customers’ travel plans."
The airline said it worked to find other flights for affected passengers. The cause of the odor is under investigation.
