Just before 1 a.m. on Thursday, a vehicle ran into the Days Inn motel on Wake Forest Road in Raleigh.
The man was staying at the hotel, according to Raleigh police.

They said he tried to stop, but pressed the gas pedal instead. There was damage to several units, but the motel was not deemed to be unsafe. No one was evacuated from the motel.
The driver was arrested for suspicion for DWI, and the vehicle was seized by law enforcement.
