State Highway Patrol said a person is dead after a late Saturday night crash on Pleasant Grove Church Road in Wake County.
According to SHP, around 11 p.m., a car ran off the road and hit a tree. The driver was the only person in the car.

The driver was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead. The trooper told WRAL News that he suspects the accident occurred due to a medical reason.
