Driver falls asleep, crashes into Durham dental office, police say

A driver crashed into a Durham dental office after falling asleep behind the wheel Monday morning, according to police.

Durham police responded to the 2200 block of Page Road around 7:45 a.m. Officers said the driver told them he fell asleep before his vehicle ran off the road and hit the building.

The dental office was closed at the time.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital as a precaution. No other injuries were reported.
