Police: 2 Durham women wanted for larceny, suspicious death investigation

Durham police are searching for two women who may be connected to a September theft and death.

On Sept. 30, 2025, officers responded to South Lasalle Street, where they found 34-year-old Mardin Varela Chirinos dead under suspicious circumstances. 

During the investigation, detectives identified 34-year-old Cindy Julibeth Ulloa Martinez and 28-year-old Taly Maria Colman Trochez as suspects in this case. 

Both women were charged with felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods and felony conspiracy. They are both wanted as persons of interest in the death investigation. 

It's unclear how police were able to identify these two women in the case.
