A balcony fire at an apartment complex near Chin Page Road in Durham caused evacuations and a large response early Monday morning.
The Durham Fire battalion chief on scene told WRAL News the fire started on the balcony of the first floor of an apartment building at Plat 4 at Reserarch Triangle complex around 1:30 a.m. Monday.

All residents in the multi-level apartment building evacuated before crews got there.
Fire crews put out the fire with a water extinguisher, leaving minor damage to the balcony and inside of the unit.
No one got hurt and all residents were able to go back inside. No one is displaced.
