A teen is in custody in connection with a shooting at a high school football game last Friday, the Edgecombe County Sheriff's Office announced on Facebook.
Jamarion Rontrell Hinton, 17, of Princeville, faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, discharge of a weapon on school property and possession of a handgun by a minor.

Edgecombe County Sheriff Clee Atkinson has said that someone fired a gun near the concession stand during a football game at Southwest Edgecombe High School.

Two teens -- a 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy -- were injured. The boy was shot. The girl was treated for an apparent graze from a bullet.
Atkinson had said none of the people involved were affiliated with SouthWest Edgecombe or Tarboro schools or the football teams.
Edgecombe County deputies collaborated with Raleigh police to find Hinton at a home in Raleigh. An Edgecombe County spokesman said Hinton was being held at a juvenile facility in Wake County.
Atkinson said the investigation will continue, and he urged anyone with video of the incident to share it with the Edgecombe County Sheriff's Office.
