An American Airlines flight from Raleigh to Philadelphia had to turn around Monday night after something smelled on board.

American Eagle flight 5201, operated by PSA Airlines, landed safely around 8:35 p.m., and RDU fire rescue and operations responded to meet the plane.

No one was injured, and the airline later described what happened as a technical issue.

The passengers were taken back to the terminal by bus. No other flights were impacted.
