Power has been restored in Enfield after residents went more than 24 hours without power.
According to the town, strong storms destroyed one of the town's main transformers on Saturday, plunging most of the town's residents into the dark.

Early Monday morning, the town of Enfield posted an update on the town website:
"As of Sunday evening, power has been restored to all but one circuit. We have formally requested assistance from state agencies and are actively coordinating efforts to complete repairs on the remaining circuit."
Part of the reason it took so long to restore power, according to authorities, is because there were three separate issues crews were dealing with.
The town said it would have to turn the power back on in 30 minutes increments, which could take up to four hours.
"What we're trying to do is prevent the system from having an overload, and everybody turning their air conditioners, TVs, everything back on at the same time, which would cause another crash," said Enfield Mayor Mondale Robinson.
During the outage, the town opened up several places like Enfield Middle School's gym to help residents stay cool and charge their devices.
