An Enfield couple died after a house in Halifax County caught on fire Saturday night. Greg and Margret Terry were found inside the home.
Fire crews were called shortly after 11:30 p.m. to a home on Loop Road. Officials said when crews arrived, 75% of the home was fully involved in the fire.

Crews from Halifax Fire, Whitakers Fire, Scotland Neck Fire and Halifax County Medical responded to the fire.
Family members told WRAL the loss of the couple is especially with the holiday season underway.
"It was the worst phone call that you can ever get right before the holidays," said Kimberly Caudle, Margret's niece. "They were the people that we go to every holiday, every Thanksgiving, every Christmas. We celebrated at their house. And now we don't even have that no more."
A longtime neighbor told WRAL News the Terry's were pillars in the Enfield community.
“This home was the homebase," the neighbor said. "They were the couple that really was the glue for their family."
Friends and family of the couple took to social media sharing their grief. Halifax County Sheriff Tyree Davis is related to the couple through marriage.
"Margret and Greg were always together. You never saw one without the other one. They loved the lord, their families and each other," Davis' post read. "It’s disheartening how these two passed but it’s heartwarming to know they are still together. They would not have had it any other way."
