The man charged in a deadly hit-and-run that killed a man in June appeared in court Tuesday afternoon.
Transito Ortiz Escareno was given a $200,000 bond, but has yet to post bail.

His next court date is Sept. 28 at 9 a.m.
He faces multiple charges in connection to the crash on Raleigh's Buffaloe Road in June.
He was arrested on Sept. 6 and charged with the death of Detrick Arnold. He was initially denied bond.
Police said Arnold, 32, was walking in the 3300 block of Buffaloe Road around 3 a.m. on June 13 when he was hit by an SUV and at least one other vehicle.
On Sunday, police arrested Ortiz Escareno, 39, and charged him with felony hit-and-run causing serious injury and driving while his license was revoked.
