WRAL is looking into a possible outage with Facebook and potentially other platforms.
Around 9:40 a.m. Friday morning, WRAL noticed Facebook and its associated apps were not working properly.

According to Downdetector.com, which tracks website outage reports, nearly 100,000 people as of 9:50 a.m.
When refreshing the page on the website, the error code 404 was displayed and said the page that tracks Facebook outage reports was down, indicating the web services platform on which Facebook operates could also be the same for Downdetector.com.
WRAL has reached out to Meta to get information on what's happening and will update this story.
