Fire destroys empty home in Moore County

Fire officials are investigating after a house caught fire in Moore County.

The fire happened on Chestnut Street in Cameron. The house was fully engulfed in flames when officials arrived on scene, according to Cypress Pointe Fire & Rescue.

The house was empty and appeared to be a total loss.

Carthage Fire Department, Whispering Pines Fire Department and Moore County EMS assisted with the fire.
