First responders will be recognized across the City of Oaks on Thursday with a special breakfast.
WRAL is a proud community partner of the event, which honors those who serve and protect: The North Carolina National Guard, Wake County Emergency Medical Services, the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, N.C. Highway Patrol, the Raleigh-Wake County Emergency Communications Center, the City of Raleigh Fire Department, the City of Raleigh Police Department, Wake County Emergency Management, and the North Carolina State Capitol Police.

First Responders Appreciation Breakfast
North Carolina Gov. Josh Stein, Raleigh Mayor Janet Cowell and Don Mial, chairman of the Wake County Board of Commissioners and the business community will welcome hundreds of first responders and their families to the First Responders Appreciation Breakfast Thursday beginning at 8 a.m.
Individuals from each agency will be honored for their outstanding service over the past year.
WRAL's Dan Haggerty will be the host of the event, and the public can watch it live on pugongyingbo.com.
Chick-fil-A biscuits for first responders
All first responders in uniform, or those who can show official identification, can claim their breakfast, a free, Chick-fil-A biscuit, at one of three Chick-fil-A locations Thursday before 10:30 a.m.
Free biscuits are available to first responders at:

- Midtown Chick-fil-A, 651 East Six Forks Road
- Six Forks & Strickland Chick-fil-A, 8661 Six Forks Road
