A Wake County woman has been charged with child abuse.
Kenya Yvonne Hogans, 32, of Garner, was arrested Tuesday and charged with felony intentional child abuse causing serious bodily injury.

According to an arrest warrant, Hogans "beat the victim with a belt," causing bruises on the 8-year-old child's arms and legs and welts on the child's chest.
