Glenwood at Five Points in Raleigh closed Sunday, Monday nights

Glenwood Avenue at Five Points in Raleigh will be closed Sunday and Monday nights, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. as part of a resurfacing project between Women's Club Drive and Wade Avenue.

The closure is scheduled for the nights of July 12 and 13, with July 14 reserved as a backup if needed.

Each night, the road will close from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. During the closure, contractors will mill, pave and apply new pavement markings.

A signed detour will direct drivers along Oberlin Road and Wade Avenue.

Motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time, follow posted detours and use caution when traveling near the work zone.
