A second person has been arrested in connection with a 2023 shooting that killed a woman in Goldsboro.
On Wednesday, Goldsboro police arrested and charged Demarion Khari Briggs, 21, with the murder of Stephanie Smith.

Officers said the shooting happened at 5:30 a.m. on May 16, 2023, in the 3100 block of Cashwell Drive in Goldsboro. Police arrested and charged Johnique Nicolie Richards with murder that same day.
Briggs is being held at the Wayne County Detention Center without bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for March 5.
