A golf cart passenger was killed in a crash involving an SUV in Pinehurst Thursday morning, according to the police department.
The golf cart driver was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries, and the SUV driver was also transported.

Police said the crash happened at 7:51 a.m. at the intersection of Beulah Hill and Shaw Roads.
Beulah Hill Road reopened at 11:30 a.m.
Police have not released information about the people involved in the crash, including the passenger who died.
Officials said the Pinehurst Police Department's Reconstruction Team is investigating to determine what led up to the crash.
“Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the person who lost their life this morning, as well as everyone affected by this tragic crash,” Pinehurst Police Chief Glen Webb said. “Our officers are working carefully to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision, and we ask for patience as that investigation continues.”
