A driver was shot by a North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper along a Greensboro highway on Tuesday, according to the State Bureau of Investigation.
The crime scene was along the US Highway 421 intersection with Pleasant Garden Road. The shooting happened around 10 a.m., according to the State Bureau of Investigation.

According to Broadcastify radio traffic, police were trying to pull over a woman in a white Ford Edge who was speeding. A release said the driver, Kasandra Forbes, failed to stop for police after she was recorded going 61 mph in a 35 mph zone.
At one point, the highway patrol said that Forbes showed a gun and the responding trooper shot her. The trooper, Zachary Bullard, was not hurt.
Gunshots were clearly audible on the police radio, with someone saying, "Shots fired, shots fired."
That was followed by someone reporting, "The suspect is down. No officers involved."
Charges against Forbes are coming, according to the NCSHP. Bullard has been placed on administrative leave, which is agency protocol under such circumstances.
Forbes was taken to the hospital and was in critical condition on Tuesday afternoon.
Forbes, 36, has a criminal record dating back to 2015, according to a search of the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction's website. Charges have included assault with a firearm or other deadly weapon upon governmental officers or employees, speeding to elude arrest, attempted trafficking of a schedule one drug and possession of a firearm by a felon.
