An Enfield man was arrested on Saturday and charged in the January death of a Rocky Mount man.
According to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office, deputies made a traffic stop around midnight Saturday in the area of NC Highway 48 and Medoc Mountain Road in the Enfield area.

While deputies were conducting a license check of the driver, 26-year-old Gregory Jason Harper, they learned that Harper was wanted for the murder of Andre West, who was killed in Rocky Mount more than a month earlier. Deputies said Rocky Mount police officers obtained warrants for Harper's arrest on Feb. 10.
Harper was issued a citation and served an outstanding warrant for first-degree murder. Harper was taken to jail and received no bond.
He is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
