A plane had to make an emergency landing in Franklin County Tuesday morning.
According to the Franklin County emergency services Facebook account, the plane experienced difficulties while attempting to land at Triangle North Executive Airport. The pilot walked away with minor injuries.

The Federal Aviation Administration said that the plane was attempting to land and a large gust of wind blew the plane off track, causing it to hit an embankment near the airport.
The Bunn Rural Fire Department, Franklin County Sheriff's Office, FC Emergency Management, and FC EMS all responded.
The tail number of this aircraft is registered to McKinight Aviation LLC.
The flight path appears to show the plane leaving the airport and then circling back seven minutes after before ending the flight roughly into a field next to a runway.
