Part of Interstate 85 was closed on Friday morning due to a crash involving an overturned-tractor-trailer near Oxford.
A North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper said a passenger car hit a guardrail and spun out onto the roadway in the northbound lanes near Exit 206 (US 158). The tractor-trailer subsequently crashed into the car, causing the 18-wheeler to flip over and catch fire.

The tractor-trailer driver has minor injuries while the driver of the car was seriously hurt. Troopers believe alcohol was a factor in the crash for the driver of the car.
The highway fully reopened around 9 a.m. The tractor-trailer was carrying food.
